Following a devastating blaze at Jika Joe informal settlement, Rene Morcom of Thandi Home orphanage discovered Zamani Mbanjwa, a paralysed man injured in the fire. Despite initial reports of no injuries, Zamani recounted his harrowing experience and lack of adequate medical attention. Outraged by his neglect, Rene Morcom intervened, ensuring Zamani received proper treatment. Thandi House continues to support displaced Jika Joe residents with essential aid and care packages.
